Flying Start Career Training Program

Chris Waugh has a special passion for getting students off to a flying start.

The Flying Start Program serves Lincoln County, Oregon's employable students, delivering career training to them at school, and lending wings to their success.

Chris Waugh presents the interactive sessions in a format much like business training meetings, and provides handout masters to the school in advance.

Flying Start Career Training is possible because of the participation of many community organizations. The 2007-8 sponsors are Central Lincoln PUD, Pepsi Cola Bottling, Oregon Coast Bank, Les Schwab Tire Center of Newport, Lincoln City and Toledo, West Coast Bank, the Lincoln City Rotary Club, TLC Federal Credit Union, Umpqua Bank, First American Title, Mariner Square, Carpet Etc/Carpet One, Grimstad & Associates, Hallmark Inn, Chinook Winds Casino Resort, Embarq, Bank of the West, Sam Medical Products, Thompson's Sanitary Service, Wal-Mart and Foster Lake RV Resort.
