Professional Experience
Chris Waugh is the President and owner of reNvision, Inc., and provides resources for professional development and inspiration. She's a keynote speaker and the author of three books, Flying by the Seat of Your Pants, Updrafts: Insights that Lend Wings to Your Success, and Misty Memories of Guard Island. She is also featured in Speaking of Success, along with Ken Blanchard, Jack Canfield, Stephen Covey and others. Her roots were in the banking industry, where Chris was a commercial loan officer. She learned that sufficient finances were not enough to ensure success of a business enterprise. In her next career, she created, built and managed a group of tourist attractions and managed them over the span of fifteen years, along with a restaurant and two retail shops. With dozens of young minimum wage employees, she refined her leadership style and won an international customer service award. Next, as interim operations officer for a medical device manufacturing plant, she traveled extensively to market the product, and led a self-directed work team to qualify for ISO 9002 and move the location of the factory. She found out, though, that the motivation and productivity issues for these highly compensated employees were the same issues she faced with minimum waged young adults, confirming her philosophy on leadership.
